Down to Earth The music and the lyrics are of a time of innocence and hope of my family who began playing music together from a very young age in our parents’ nightclub, The Golden Nugget, in Antonito, Colorado, a small town in the San Luis Valley of Colorado. Songs of the Heart The songs on this CD are of real experiences and emotions that inspired me to express my innermost feelings about some of my personal life experiences. The song, My Home Town, was inspired by the shootings at Columbine High School on April 20, 1999 in Denver, Colorado. I’d like to thank Ms. Esther Archuleta and Ms. Patricia Pipkin for the lending of their voices. The song, Take my Hand, is the title track to the documentary, Spirituality and Its People, which was written in memory of my Mother.
